Some members of the Ladies Auxiliary visited with our Veterans at Charleston Health Center Saturday afternoon. Pictured with the Ladies is Mr. Edgar Engle, 92, served during WW II in the Navy. He is a DOLL! We took goody bags to each of our 7 Veterans. (A SPECIAL THANK YOU to Judy Poynter for visiting our Veterans last week to meet them and find out what they needed and were permitted to have.) They were a blessing to us. There was a nice gathering/cook-out at the Post for the members and families Saturday afternoon. Friends and guests came out for “Scar – E – OKEE” Saturday night. EVERYBODY sang! To top off the evening, Donnie Robbins (SON), who was involved in an accident a few weeks ago and his lovely wife, Vickie (LADIES AUXILIARY) got to come “home” Saturday evening. “Boobs Lu Lu” (Judy Poynter) welcomed the “birthday boy” back with “Happy Birthday” and “I Will Always Love You!” I think everyone will agree… A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL! Thank you to everyone who brought pictures for the “Table of Honor”. What a treat to see our Veterans!
Ladies raised $350.00 with the “Shave the Men” wager (the evening of the Sock Hop). Thank you, Guys, for being such good sports. We think you look HANDSOME clean shaven!
